About the Role
Mayglothling Waste Ltd is looking for a professional and dependable HGV Driver – Road Sweeper & Tanker Operator to join our team based at our Kington Depot.
This is a varied and rewarding role, operating both HGV road sweeping vehicles and tanker vehicles across a range of customer sites throughout the UK. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality environmental and industrial services while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV road sweepers and tanker vehicles.
- Carry out road sweeping operations on highways, construction sites, industrial estates and customer premises.
- Operate tanker equipment safely and efficiently in line with company procedures.
- Complete daily vehicle walk-round inspections and defect reporting.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety legislation, company policies and customer site rules.
- Complete all job paperwork and electronic records accurately.
- Maintain vehicles to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
- Work closely with the operations team to deliver an efficient and reliable service.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent Mayglothling Waste Ltd professionally at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence (Class 1/C+E advantageous).
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations.
- Maximum of 3 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN convictions).
- Positive attitude with a strong commitment to safety.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Flexible and reliable with a willingness to work across different operations.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Previous road sweeper experience.
- Tanker, vacuum tanker or jetting experience.
- Experience working within the waste, environmental or construction industries.
- Plant operator experience (advantageous but not essential).
