Join our team as a Chemical Warehouse Operator and become a vital part of our Chemical Process Warehousing operations. Duties
- Safely load, unload, and transport chemical materials using forklifts and other materials handling equipment
- Manage inventory through our warehouse management system (WMS) ensuring accurate stock levels and documentation
- Stock shelves, organize chemical storage areas, and perform regular stock checks to prevent shortages or overstocking
- Prepare works orders by picking and labeling chemical products accurately for transfer to Mixing Department
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents
- Conduct routine inspections of storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper chemical handling procedures
- Support mechanical maintenance tasks related to warehouse equipment or infrastructure as needed
Skills
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment, preferably with chemicals or hazardous materials
- Valid forklift certification with demonstrated ability to operate safely in a busy warehouse setting
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Experience with materials handling techniques including heavy lifting, stacking, and organizing stock efficiently
- Familiarity with manufacturingl environments is a plus for understanding safety protocols
- Excellent attention to detail for picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and maintaining accurate records
Pay: £12.83 per hour
