The Role
The successful applicant will work on a wide variety of domestic, commercial and industrial drainage systems, including sewage pumping stations and package sewage treatment plants.
Typical duties will include:
- Servicing sewage pumping stations and sewage treatment plants.
- Diagnosing drainage and pumping system faults.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance.
- Operating high-pressure water jetting equipment.
- CCTV drainage inspections and surveys.
- A degree of ground works Installing and repairing drainage systems and associated pipework.
- Installing and commissioning pumps, control panels and alarm systems.
- Responding to emergency call-outs when required.
- Producing clear service reports and recommendations.
- Providing a professional and courteous service to our clients.
- Working safely and in accordance with Health & Safety legislation.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good practical and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Reliable, punctual and hard-working.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Electrical knowledge or experience.
- Previous drainage or plumbing experience.
- Experience working with pumps or pumping stations.
- Confined Space Training.
- High Pressure Water Jetting Certificate.
Full training will be provided where necessary.
