Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development in line with curriculum standards such as Montessori or other early childhood frameworks.
- Foster a nurturing environment that supports children’s well-being, safety, and welfare at all times.
- Support children with special educational needs through tailored interventions and inclusive practices aligned with early intervention strategies.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, including transitions, meal times, nap times, and outdoor play to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Use effective behavior management techniques to encourage positive behavior and resolve conflicts constructively.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external specialists to monitor progress and develop individualized learning plans.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s development milestones, attendance, and daily activities to support ongoing assessment and reporting.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience working with children across various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with special education needs (SEN), behavior management strategies, and inclusive teaching methods.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and external professionals.
- Ability to implement literacy education initiatives and support early math skills through creative activities.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early years assessments is advantageous.
