Job Description
RELM Group Ltd is looking for an experienced subcontractor General Builder to join our growing network of trades and support our workload across North Wales.
RELM specialises in planned and reactive maintenance and repair works, including fire compliance works, with clients including local councils, housing associations and other organisations.
The successful contractor will be comfortable undertaking varied building works across responsive repairs, larger projects and planned programmes. Experience of working within social housing and tenanted properties would be advantageous but is not essential.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out general building and repair works across RELM schemes
- Supporting planned and responsive maintenance programmes
- Completing remedial and project works
- Undertaking associated building tasks within your areas of competence
- Coordinating effectively with RELM's team and other trades
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and housekeeping
- Working professionally when attending occupied properties
- Completing works within agreed timescales
Requirements
- Previous experience in general building/construction
- Ability to undertake varied works and use initiative
- Own vehicle – essential
- Own tools and equipment – essential
- CIS Registered – essential
- Public and Products Liability Insurance with at least £2m cover – essential
- UK Driving Licence – required
- CSCS Card – preferred
- Relevant Health & Safety Awareness/training
- DBS Check may be required due to the nature of our works
- Bricklaying, tiling and groundworks experience would also be beneficial.
Pay: £100.00-£200.00 per day
