Bath VW Campers is a VW Transporter and Crafter campervan conversion business, based in Frome, Somerset, established for around nine years. We're best known for bespoke commissioned conversions built to each customer's spec, alongside finished stock vans and used campervan sales. We're a small, close-knit team of five, so what you do here genuinely matters to how smoothly the business runs.
We're looking for an Operations & Customer Support Coordinator to be the glue between our customers, our workshop and our suppliers. You'll be the first point of contact for customers calling in, the person keeping the workshop schedule realistic as jobs move around, and the one making sure the right stock and bespoke parts are in the right place at the right time.
Day to day you'll: answer our customer service line and handle incoming queries, including straightforward technical questions, and book customers in for repairs, upgrades and servicing; own the workshop schedule, reviewing and adjusting conversion and collection dates at least once a week; run a fortnightly stock take and reorder against agreed stock levels, and regularly check supplier pricing and source better deals; order bespoke parts for customer conversions on a just-in-time basis; receive and unpack deliveries and put stock away correctly; organise servicing and valet of stock vans and customer vans with suppliers on a set schedule, including driving vans to and from the garage and spray shop; and post and manage our weekly social media content, which we supply.
Most important: you're someone who follows things through with future planning. If you naturally set yourself reminders and close loops on things days or weeks after they start, you'll do very well here. Experience in an admin, operations or customer service role is ideal, and an interest in vehicles is a bonus but not essential, as full training is provided. A full, valid, clean UK driving licence is required — you'll be driving our vans to our garage and spray suppliers for servicing and valet, and our insurance requires drivers to be 25 or over with a clean licence.
This is a full-time role based at our premises in Frome, Somerset, working 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 2pm on Friday. Salary is £27,000 to £30,000 depending on experience, plus a company pension. After a successful probation period, we're also happy to lend out one of our campervans for a weekend away, subject to availability.
