Specialising in the manufacture and repair of mechanical seals and pumps, we serve a wide range of industries across the UK, including some of the largest food manufacturing, agricultural, and chemical plants. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Machinist and CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team. We pride ourselves on flexibility, so whether you’re looking for full-time or part-time hours, we’re open to discussing a schedule that works for you.
Main Responsibilities
As part of our team, you will:
- Program and operate HAAS CNC Milling Machines and Hurco CNC Lathes.
- Work with manual machinery, including mills and lathes.
- Produce accurate components from engineering drawings.
- Measure equipment tolerances with precision.
- Program new designs and edit existing CNC programs for high-quality output.
About You
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Strong mechanical knowledge with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience operating CNC and manual lathes and milling machines.
- Proven ability to program CNC machines directly from engineering drawings.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Additional skills and qualifications that would be advantageous:
- Forklift driving experience (not essential).
- Hands-on mechanical assembly experience.
- A full, clean UK driving license.
Key Skills Required
- Manual machining expertise.
- Proficiency in running CNC machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of:
- Conversational programming.
- G-code.
- Hurco machines.
- CAD/CAM software.
