We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic GCSE History Tutor to inspire students and foster a love for history while helping them achieve their academic goals. Duties
- Deliver engaging, interactive GCSE History lessons tailored to students’ learning styles and academic levels
- Develop personalized lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and exam requirements
- Assess students’ progress regularly through quizzes, assignments, and discussions, providing constructive feedback
- Support students in developing critical thinking, analytical skills, and effective exam strategies
- Adapt teaching approaches to accommodate diverse learning needs, including those with special education requirements
- Foster a positive, motivating learning environment that encourages curiosity and active participation
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching GCSE History or related subjects
- Strong understanding of historical events, themes, and exam techniques relevant to the GCSE curriculum
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain complex concepts to students of varying abilities
- Experience working with children or young learners, including those with special education needs
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that motivate students and enhance their understanding of history
- Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude to support diverse learning styles
- Strong organizational skills to track student progress and prepare effective instructional materials
Pay: £13.00-£18.00 per hour
