The Humber Royal is an iconic 60s building on the outside with contemporary, high quality design internally, offering sumptuous bedrooms and suites, a Brasserie, a garden area and private rooms for meetings and events up to 250 people. With stunning views over the golf course, The Humber Royal Hotel is an idyllic place to work offering memorable weddings and events to our customers. This position is for an immediate start.
Our 4-star hotel is looking for an experienced chef to join our team. With progression available, we are seeking chefs that are experienced and able to give input with menu development, placing orders and being responsible for kitchen due diligence system. We are looking for chefs who can assist and develop the food not only for the brasserie but also for weddings and events.
Skills required:
- Work under the management of the Assistant Manager
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar role working for a hotel or busy restaurant
- Holder of an NVQ 2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent, but not essential if experience is evident
- Holder of Food Safety Level 2 or equivalent
- Experience of stock control management and ordering
- Good working knowledge of Health and Safety as well as Food Safety Management
- Train and supervise junior chefs when the kitchen brigade grows, including best practices, safety, and cleanliness standards
- A good understanding of portion control, cooking and presenting to specifications
- Excellent communication skills with the drive for motivational leadership. You must be able to listen and take on feedback from your colleagues and customers
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Possess immaculate personal presentation and discipline at all times

Pay: Up to £28,000.00 per year
