Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter and Decorator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting and decorating techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes that enhance the aesthetic appeal of residential, commercial, or industrial environments. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion of paints and finishes
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative coatings with precision and attention to detail
- Interpret project specifications and work closely with clients or project managers to achieve desired outcomes
- Use a variety of tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns, and scaffolding safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly
- Conduct quality checks throughout the process to ensure smooth application and flawless finishes
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to update progress or address any issues promptly
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting or decorating roles with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Familiarity with different types of paints, coatings, wallpapers, and decorative techniques
- Ability to read technical drawings or project plans accurately
- Valid driving license preferred for transportation between sites
- Strong communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to working at heights or using power tools is essential
- Prior experience working in diverse environments such as residential homes, commercial buildings, or industrial facilities is advantageous
Pay: £180.00-£250.00 per day
