We are seeking a candidate with an understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). PBS is a person-centred approach used to support individuals who may display behaviours of concern. It focuses on understanding the reasons behind behaviour, improving quality of life, and proactively supporting individuals through structured strategies, clear communication, and consistent, respectful support. The expectation in this role is to apply PBS principles in all aspects of care to promote independence, reduce distress, and encourage positive, meaningful engagement for the people we support.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PBS Support Worker to provide essential care and support during day shifts. The role involves assisting service users with their daily needs, ensuring their safety, and promoting their wellbeing in a nurturing environment. The successful candidate will play a vital part in implementing care plans and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies, and fostering positive development for the service users under our care. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young lives while working within a supportive team.

Person specification
· Flexible and able to carry out shifts throughout the week
· Willing and able to offer physical support to service users, including moving and handling safely
· Understanding of and sensitivity to the discrimination experienced by members of vulnerable and/or minority groups
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Able to manage time and workload effectively
· Able to work on own initiative, proactively resolving issues
· Able to maintain professional boundaries and handle confidential information appropriately
· Committed to enabling choice, independence, and wellbeing of people with learning disabilities and/or Autism through Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
· Ability to engage people with learning disabilities in challenging, stimulating and enjoyable activities using PBS principles
