Out and About Campers is a premium campervan conversion company, designing and building high-quality campervans with a focus on craftsmanship, innovation and attention to detail. Due to continued growth, we're looking for a skilled Furniture Manufacturing Technician to join our workshop team.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll play a key part in manufacturing and installing campervan furniture while helping to improve and develop our production processes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manufacturing campervan kitchens and furniture from CNC-cut components.
- Assembling and fitting kitchens and interior furniture into vehicles.
- Installing gas systems in accordance with company procedures.
- Operating CNC machinery.
- Using CAD software to modify, improve and develop existing furniture designs.
- Identifying and resolving design and manufacturing issues to improve quality, accuracy and efficiency.
- Working closely with the production team to continuously improve our furniture manufacturing processes.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, organisation and workshop safety.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Experience in cabinet making, furniture manufacturing or woodworking.
- Strong CAD skills with the ability to create and modify designs.
- Experience working with CNC woodworking machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a practical approach to manufacturing.
- High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience within the campervan, caravan, motorhome, furniture or marine industries.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement and process development.
