We're looking for an ambitious, hands-on General Manager who shares our passion for hospitality and wants to help shape Bowring's next chapter.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a leader who can inspire people, grow the business and create an exceptional experience for every guest who walks through our doors.
Reporting to the Oneday Leisure Director, you'll lead our bar and kitchen teams, champion outstanding service, drive commercial performance and help us maintain our reputation as a hidden gem in the heart of Merseyside.

Your Mission
Create a vibrant, welcoming venue where people love to work, visit and return to.
You'll combine commercial thinking with genuine hospitality, ensuring every guest receives an exceptional experience while driving performance, supporting your team and helping the business continue to grow.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the day-to-day operation of The Coach House, ensuring consistently high standards across food, drink and service.
- Inspire, coach and develop the Bar and Kitchen teams, creating a positive, high-performing culture.
- Be a visible presence on the floor, leading by example and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Drive commercial performance through effective management of budgets, P&L, stock control, labour costs and KPIs.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, rotas, training, probation and performance management with support from our People & Culture team.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Bowring Park to deliver seamless events, room hires and visitor experiences.
- Champion Oneday's values and help create one outstanding experience across the entire site.
- Build strong relationships with local residents, community groups and regular customers.
- Act as Duty Manager on a rota with the wider management team.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, food safety, health & safety and operational procedures.
- Support the continuous improvement of systems, standards and ways of working across the business.
What You'll Bring
Essential:
- At least two years' experience as a General Manager within a food and beverage operation.
- Strong restaurant and bar management experience.
- Excellent knowledge of beverages, wines and cocktails.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, P&L and stock.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop teams.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities.
- Experience using rota management and ordering systems.
- Flexibility to work 45 hours per week across Monday to Sunday.
Desirable:
- Personal Licence holder.
- Experience recruiting, onboarding and developing hospitality teams.
- Full UK driving licence.
