Cleaner
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our busy structural steel engineering business. This is an important role helping to maintain a safe, clean and organised environment for our factory and welfare facilities.
We design, manufacture and construct high quality steel structures including industrial buildings, aircraft hangars and their electro-mechanical doors, warehouses, grandstands, multi-storey buildings, car parks and bridges, as well as defence equipment, manual and electric roller shutter doors, windows and curtain walling.
Duties will include
- Thorough cleaning of workers’ mess room after break times and toilets throughout the day
- Cleaning of office welfare facilities
- Emptying bins throughout the factory
- Segregating and disposing of waste correctly
- Maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the working day, including wiping down main touch points (machinery controls, door handles, etc)
- Basic external maintenance duties, including weeding and tidying
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Be dependable and able to work independently
- Take pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Have good attention to detail
- Be willing to work in an industrial / factory environment and take on additional tasks as required
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar cleaning role is desirable
- Experience within a factory or industrial environment would be an advantage

- We can be flexible on working hours for the right candidate: someone looking for between 27.5 and 40 hours per week on a permanent basis. May suit candidates seeking a job share arrangement or hours to fit around school runs
