Job Title: Management Accountant

Salary: £45,000 + Support with study if required

We’re looking for a part‑qualified Management Accountant to join our Finance team and support the production of accurate and timely management accounts, financial analysis, and budgeting information.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone studying AAT or progressing towards CIMA/ACCA, who is keen to develop both technical and commercial finance skills within a growing organisation.
The Role:
As Management Accountant, you’ll play a key role in the day‑to‑day functioning of the Finance team. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts

Preparing accruals, prepayments, and journal entries

Reconciling balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies

Supporting the management and monitoring of project data to ensure accurate financial reporting

Assisting with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts

Supporting year‑end processes and audit preparation
-
Assisting with the implementation of a new ERP system (COINS)
-
Providing financial data, insight, and analysis to non‑financial stakeholders
-
Identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiencies
-
Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and key external customers

Ensuring compliance with Group financial policies

Providing holiday and sickness cover for other Finance team roles where required
What you’ll need:
You’ll be a proactive and detail‑driven finance professional who enjoys working collaboratively and adding value through insight and analysis.
You’ll ideally have:

Part‑qualified accountant status (AAT, or studying towards CIMA/ACCA)

Strong Excel skills

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities

A high level of attention to detail and accuracy

Experience in the construction sector (desirable but not essential)

Experience using COINS ERP software (desirable)
