Fundraising and Communications Officer
30 hours a week (flexible attendance times with occasional evening/weekend attendance).
After training, approximately 15 hours office based (Moulton Park) with the remainder working from home or visiting within Northamptonshire.
Salary - £21,000 for 30 hour week

About Right Resolution - We provide intense support and guidance for young people leaving care who are aged 16 to 24. We work with coping strategies that support the individual needs and challenges they may be facing, helping them to reach their aspirations in education, employment and training, whilst boosting their confidence and self-esteem. Our unique service provides a holistic approach with the use of youth work interventions, enabling care experienced young people to build their life skills to succeed.
Role Purpose The Fundraising & Communications Officer will play a pivotal role in helping the organisation grow its income and raise its profile. This role combines handson fundraising with creative, effective communication. As a small organisation, we’re looking for someone who is proactive, adaptable, and able to work confidently across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fundraising - Support income generation across a mix of streams, including: - Trusts and foundations - Individual giving and regular donors - Community fundraising - Corporate partnerships and sponsorships - Events and campaigns - Prepare compelling funding applications, cases for support, and impact reports. - Research new funding opportunities and maintain the funding pipeline. - Manage donor stewardship, ensuring timely and personalised thank-you communications. - Track fundraising performance and provide regular reports to the CEO and Board.
2. Communications - Draft, schedule, and manage content across digital platforms, including website, social media, newsletters, and blogs. - Create engaging stories, case studies, and impact highlights that support fundraising and awareness. - Maintain brand consistency across all communications. - Support the development and delivery of digital campaigns and appeals. Manage and grow the organisations online presence and audience engagement.
3. General Duties - Maintain accurate records on the donor database. - Support with events, presentations, and stakeholder meetings as required. - Represent the organisation professionally with supporters, beneficiaries, partners, and the wider community. - Contribute to broader organisational work as a flexible team member.
Person Specification
Essential Skills & Experience - Proven experience in fundraising or income generation within the charity sector (or transferrable experience from another field). - Strong written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and persuasive proposals. Experience creating digital content across multiple platforms. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively. Confident using digital tools (e.g., social media scheduling platforms, email marketing software, basic design tools such as Canva). - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with donors, partners, volunteers, and colleagues. - High level of accuracy and attention to detail. - Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a small team.
Desirable Skills & Experience - Experience writing successful trust/foundation applications. - Knowledge of CRM systems or donor databases. - Basic design, video editing, or photography skills. - Experience delivering fundraising events or community engagement activities.

Pay: £13.46 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 per week
