Do you have the confidence to make sound decisions, interpret complex legislation and support colleagues to deliver excellent customer service? If so, we have an exciting opportunity within our Revenues and Benefits Assessment Service.
We're looking for a motivated and knowledgeable individual to join our Council Tax and Enforcement Team as a Senior Revenues Officer. This is a key role that supports the Council Tax Team Leader in the day-to-day operation of the service, helping to ensure the efficient administration, billing, collection and recovery of Council Tax while delivering positive outcomes for residents and the Council.
What's the opportunity?
This role offers the chance to:
- Take a lead role in managing complex Council Tax and enforcement cases.
- Develop expertise in legislation and its practical application.
- Support and mentor colleagues, sharing knowledge and developing team capability.
- Represent the Authority at Court hearings and Valuation Tribunals.
- Contribute to service improvements, performance management and strategic discussions.
- Deputise for the Council Tax Team Leader when required.
