Our Dispute Resolution team is expanding! This is a great opportunity for an individual who is looking for a full-time role in Dispute Resolution which covers civil litigation and employment work. This job involves providing secretarial and administrative support to our team of litigators including a partner.
Key information
- Salary – market rate dependent upon experience.
- Full time, permanent role.
- Monday to Friday.
- You would generally be working in person at our offices on Sansome Walk, Worcester.
What would I be doing day-to-day?
- Opening and preparing files to be worked on, then closing them when the case has finished.
- Onboarding clients and completing any necessary due diligence checks
- Audio and copy typing letters and other documents, as well as printing and photocopying
- Handling and making telephone calls and taking messages as appropriate
- Attending to clients when they have a query or need further assistance
- Maintaining diaries and ensuring that the team is organised
- Processing accounts procedures
- Dealing with courts and tribunals
- Dealing with barristers and experts and any other third parties
- Completing court and employment tribunal documentation including bundles for hearings.
What traits would help me to thrive in this role?
- Legal experience preferably within the field of Dispute Resolution.
- Computer literacy and audio typing.
- Good communication skills and telephone manner.
- A personable, self-organised and motivated mindset
Who would I be working with?
There are some excellent members of our growing team. David Denovan-Smith has many years of experience in civil litigation and has a particular specialism in Contentious Probate matters while Guy Salter is a partner and has been dealing with employment matters for over 30 years. Jack Coleman is a solicitor apprentice supporting both David and Guy. Neil Bowyer, an experienced chartered legal executive, is also joining to add strength in depth to the department.
