Support Worker – Complex Care
Location: Norwich and surrounding areas
Contract: Zero-hours / flexible

We are recruiting Support Workers to join our growing community complex-care team across Norwich.
We currently have a variety of opportunities across several care packages within the Norwich locality, ranging from shorter regular calls through to more substantial weekly hours.
Rather than recruiting somebody to one vacancy only, we are particularly interested in reliable and flexible Support Workers who may be suitable to work across more than one local package.
Depending on your experience, availability and suitability for each individual service, this could give you the opportunity to build a working pattern across several nearby packages while also providing valuable additional cover for annual leave, sickness and other staffing requirements.
CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES
Our Norwich services currently offer a mixture of working patterns, including:
- Regular daytime support.
- Shorter morning calls.
- Opportunities of approximately 30 hours within some packages.
- Regular shorter weekly commitments.
- Opportunities of approximately four hours per day within some services.
- Additional sickness, annual leave and contingency cover.
- Opportunities to work across more than one local package where appropriate.
Exact hours will depend on the service you are matched to, your availability, experience and successful completion of the relevant Meet & Greet, training and competency requirements.
THE ROLE
As a Support Worker, you will provide safe, consistent and person-centred support according to the individual needs of the person you are supporting.
This may include:
- Building positive and consistent relationships.
- Supporting agreed daily routines and activities.
- Providing person-centred care and support.
- Working safely according to individual support plans and risk assessments.
- Maintaining professional boundaries.
- Completing accurate records.
- Communicating effectively with colleagues, families and operational teams.
- Completing any training and competency assessment required for the package.
Some packages have specific support requirements. For example, one of our Norwich services requires morning support from staff who are trained and competent in bowel care. Previous experience is useful, but we are also interested in suitable candidates who are willing to undertake the required training.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for people who are:
- Reliable and consistent.

- Good communicators.
- Able to follow care plans and agreed ways of working.
- Willing to complete package-specific training where required.
- Interested in building regular hours and/or providing additional contingency cover.
Previous care or complex-care experience is desirable, although we do not want to unnecessarily exclude strong care candidates who can be appropriately trained and assessed.
Some individual packages may have additional requirements, including driving or specific training. We will discuss these with you during screening and only introduce you to services for which you are appropriately suited.
