Job Summary
Actual Pay is 0.4 pro rata (£12,000 - £14,000 dep on experience) 30days holiday equivalent (Actual 12 days)
The core Hours are Saturday 9:00am - 3:00pm and one evening per week, a total of 15hrs per week with the other 9 hours to be set on negotiation. However, as a small C.I.C we are able to reorganise these hours for the right candidate. There is potential for these hours to increase over time if needed. The position is available to start from September, however it can be delayed until after Christmas.
We are seeking a friendly, patient and versatile teacher to join our team. They will tutor students on a 1:1 and small group basis in a core subject (English, Maths, Science). They will also help to oversee the planning and implementation of diverse educational and recreational activities for children. The ideal candidate must have QTS and be able to teach up to A-Level in either English, Maths or Physics. In addition experience working with children with additional needs and alternative provisions would be beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a range of educational activities to enhance learning in subjects such as Maths, Science and Music.
- Provide 1 to 1 tutoring in a core subject including planning.
- Conduct behaviour management strategies to support positive interactions among children.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff members to ensure the smooth running of activities.
Experience
- Qualified teacher with ability to teach either English, Maths or Physics to A-Level.
- Previous experience working with children with additional needs.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Strong computer skills and ability to teach online.
