Main Activities, Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service while demonstrating strong merchandising skills.
- Maintaining a high standard of sales and customer care.
- Responsible for all daily cash handling, including till balances, float reconciliation and expense approvals.
- Ensure all customers are quickly & efficiently served through the checkouts, and be fully conversant with electronic point of sale.
- Direct all aspects of maintenance in the garden shop departments.
- Supervise and carry out re-stocking of the indoor sales departments, including unloading deliveries through to final display as required.
- Respond to queries relating to gardening sundries and provide a general horticulture advisory service where possible.
- Contribute to plans, strategies, reports and policies for the long-term marketing of the business.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the Management Team.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership abilities are essential, along with excellent attention to detail and the capability to present a diverse range of products in line with high retail standards.
- Experience in garden centre or similar retail practices.
- Well-organised and self-motivated.
- Keen eye for detail and systematic approach.
Pay: £15.27 per hour
