The Role:
A Multi-Academy Trust that Zen Partner with based across the Dudley/Rowley Regis area, are looking to appoint several full-time SEN Teaching Assistants to work with children ranging from EYFS to KS2. The schools have dedicated Resource Bases, to support children across a variety of severe and complex needs, including those that are non-verbal and those with Autism and Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs.
The role would be a combination of supporting small group sizes and 1:1 work, therefore being flexible and active within the role is key. This MAT prides itself on valuing creative, flexible and passionate staff, who are dedicated in nurturing the best outcomes for the pupils.
Pay can be up to £110 a day, depending on your experience. Ideally, we are looking for candidates with SEN experience, whether that's within a UK school setting or within the care sector.
The hours of this role are 8.30am - 4pm.
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant should:
- Have experience or passion for working with children with SEN
- Be flexible, proactive and patient
- Be nurturing and caring in your approaches
- Be able to communicate effectively within a team
- Be open to providing personal care
- Have a Background in Education, Care, Psychology or Drama, as these are very transferable.
- Training or experience in non-verbal communication is preferred, but a willingness to learn is essential. For example Makaton, PECS
