About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and caring Domestic Assistant to join our friendly team in a residential care home. This is an important role helping to keep the home clean, safe, comfortable and welcoming for our residents, visitors and staff.
What You’ll Do
· Carry out daily cleaning of residents’ rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, corridors and other areas of the home.
· Help maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection prevention.
· Use cleaning equipment, products and PPE safely and correctly.
· Follow cleaning schedules and complete records where required.
· Report maintenance issues, hazards or concerns promptly.
· Work respectfully around residents, supporting their dignity, privacy and comfort.
About You
· Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
· Friendly, respectful and professional when speaking with residents, relatives and colleagues.
· Able to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
· Committed to maintaining a clean, safe and homely environment.
· Previous cleaning, housekeeping, care home or hospitality experience is helpful but not essential, as training will be provided.
