Job Title: Training & Development Advisor – Fixed Term Contract
Location: Portsmouth
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Training & Development Advisor to join our team on a fixed-term contract. In this pivotal role you will deliver and manage key improvement projects in the learning and development space.
Forming part of the HR team here at Wightlink you will work closely with the HR management team and wider management across apprenticeships and digital transfer of our learning platform.
The role is based in our Head Office in Portsmouth.
What you’ll be doing
· Design and deliver an apprenticeship programme across the Wightlink group
· Establish partnerships with local educational establishments to provide exposure for our apprenticeship offering
· Manage current apprenticeships and associated levy
· Attend relevant career events to promote apprentices
· Fully implement e-learning into our new people platform while undertaking a review of e-learning material to ensure its up to date with current legislation, where applicable
· In partnership with Management, review outputs from performance reviews / job chats to establish training needs and a process is in place to sure this is progressed
What we’re looking for
· CIPD or extensive experience/background within L&D is essential
· Practical knowledge of apprenticeships across multiple disciplines and experience of managing apprenticeship levy
· Experience of digitalising training and development processes
· Experience of E-learning material creation ensuring all learning styles are catered to
· Knowledge of marine and/or transport industry, desirable

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
