About ActivSport
ActivSport provides high-quality sport, physical activity, PE, childcare and school-based programmes for children across schools, nurseries, wraparound care, holiday camps and after-school clubs.
Our mission is to build confidence in every child through positive, engaging and inclusive sport and physical activity experiences. We are now looking for an experienced, reliable and professional Operations and Quality Coordinator to support the quality and consistency of our delivery across our venues and partner schools.
About the Role
This is a varied and hands-on role, combining site visits, quality control, staff support and class cover.
You will work closely with the Operations Manager to visit ActivSport venues, observe sessions, support coaches, review standards and help ensure that our programmes are delivered safely, professionally and consistently.
The role will also involve providing class cover when required, particularly for PE lessons and school sport sessions, so strong experience in children’s sport, PE or primary school physical activity delivery is essential.
This role would suit someone who is confident delivering PE, enjoys supporting other coaches, has high standards and is comfortable travelling between different schools and venues.
Main Responsibilities
· Carry out regular site visits across ActivSport venues.
· Observe sessions and review the quality of coaching, organisation, safety, engagement and behaviour management.
· Support the Operations Manager with quality control, audits and site standards.
· Provide clear and constructive feedback to coaches and Venue Managers.
· Help identify training needs and areas for improvement.
· Support staff to deliver sessions in line with ActivSport standards.
· Provide PE and school sport class cover when required.
· Cover other ActivSport programmes where needed, including camps, wraparound care, nursery sessions and after-school clubs.
· Check key site standards, including registers, ratios, safeguarding, health and safety, equipment and staff presentation.
· Support the follow-up of site action plans.
· Report concerns, risks and examples of good practice to the Operations Manager.
· Help ensure children receive a safe, positive and engaging experience.
What We Are Looking For

· Good organisation and attention to detail.
· A professional, reliable and proactive approach.
· Flexibility to travel between schools and venues.
· A genuine passion for helping children enjoy sport and physical activity.
Experience supporting or mentoring other coaches would be beneficial, but the most important qualities are strong delivery experience, high standards and the ability to support others positively.
Desirable Experience
The following would be desirable:
· Understanding of Ofsted requirements and expectations within holiday camp and wraparound provision.
· Experience working in Ofsted-registered or Ofsted-aligned childcare, camp or wraparound settings.
