Honeycomb Care is looking for experienced Care Assistants to join our dedicated team, supporting a gentleman living in his own home who is living with dementia. You'll work alongside an experienced live-in carer as part of a double-up care team, providing person-centred care that enables him to remain safely and comfortably in his own home.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships and delivering high-quality care in a relaxed home environment.
Your Role
As a Care Assistant, you will:
- Provide personal care with dignity, respect and compassion.
- Support with hoisted transfers and mobility.
- Assist with washing, dressing and personal hygiene.
- Prepare meals and drinks.
- Provide companionship and meaningful conversation.
- Accompany the client on walks around the local village using his wheelchair.
- Follow individual care plans and support the client's daily routine.
- Monitor health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns promptly.
- Complete accurate care records.
- Work closely with the live-in carer, family members and the Honeycomb Care team.
What We're Looking For
- Previous care experience is essential.
- Experience supporting people living with dementia is desirable.
- Moving and handling experience, including hoist use (or willingness to undertake training).
- A kind, patient and compassionate approach.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Reliable, professional and committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
- A genuine passion for helping people remain independent in their own home.
Shifts Available
Part-time hours are available across the following shifts:
- Morning Call: 7:00am – 8:00am
- Afternoon Support: 12:00pm – 4:00pm
- Evening Call: 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Applicants are welcome whether they are available for one shift or multiple shifts throughout the week.
