We’re looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our team and play a key role in driving performance across operational, commercial and logistics functions across the South East of England.
In this role, you’ll go beyond reporting, providing insight, challenge and commercial guidance to support decision-making and improve business performance. Working closely with regional leadership teams, you’ll use data, financial understanding and systems expertise to identify opportunities, influence outcomes and support the delivery of sustainable growth.
This is a hands-on role with real impact, combining commercial partnering with operational ownership, where you’ll help shape how the business uses data, systems and financial insight to maximise performance.
You’ll act as a trusted partner to operational, commercial and logistics teams, using data and financial insight to challenge performance, identify opportunities and support better decision-making across the region.
You’ll take ownership of key reporting and analysis, ensuring that performance is clearly understood and actionable. This includes reviewing operational and financial data, validating margin and cost performance, and highlighting risks, trends and opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to turn insight into action, driving continuous improvement across multiple cost centres.
Alongside this, you’ll play a central role in forecasting, budgeting and month-end processes, ensuring accuracy, transparency and strong financial control. You’ll support the production of management information at depot, area and regional level, providing clear commentary and insight to support leadership decisions.
You’ll also oversee the integrity of operational and financial processes, including stock, production and transactional flows, identifying issues and driving improvements. Working with IT and business improvement teams, you’ll support system development, testing and enhancements to improve performance, visibility and control.
A key part of the role will be building capability across the business. You’ll provide training and ongoing support to operational, commercial and logistics teams, helping them better understand systems, data and financial performance, and enabling more effective decision-making at all levels.
You’ll take a proactive approach to continuous improvement, using analysis and insight to recommend and implement changes that improve efficiency, reduce cost and enhance overall business performance.
You’re a commercially minded finance professional with strong analytical capability and the confidence to influence and challenge stakeholders. You have experience in reporting, forecasting and business partnering, and are comfortable working with data, systems and financial information.
You communicate clearly, build strong relationships across teams, and take a proactive, solutions-focused approach to improving performance. You bring a high level of accuracy, ownership and attention to detail in everything you do.
A professional finance qualification such as CIMA is desirable, alongside strong data analysis skills and experience with business systems and reporting tools. You’re resilient, adaptable and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where you can make a visible impact.
Full UK driving licence is required, and the role will involve regular travel and occasional overnight stays.
