Job description *
LuxeSpace UK provides bespoke media-wall installations for residential customers across Wolverhampton, Birmingham and the wider Midlands.
We are looking for an experienced and reliable carpenter or media-wall installer to survey potential projects and complete confirmed installations on behalf of LuxeSpace UK.
This is a self-employed subcontract opportunity with the potential for regular ongoing work. You must be confident dealing with customers, taking accurate measurements, estimating labour and materials, and completing installations to a high professional standard.
Responsibilities
- Contact customers introduced by LuxeSpace UK
- Arrange and attend site surveys
- Discuss the customer’s design and requirements
- Take accurate measurements
- Prepare a labour estimate, materials list and expected timescale
- Submit your costs to LuxeSpace UK before we issue the final customer quotation
- Build and install bespoke media walls
- Complete timber or metal studwork and plasterboarding
- Create recesses for TVs, soundbars and electric fireplaces
- Install shelving, cupboards, storage and decorative features
- Coordinate with approved electricians, plasterers and decorators where required
- Provide progress updates, photographs and videos
- Complete agreed snagging or remedial work
- Keep each customer’s property clean and tidy
- Represent LuxeSpace UK professionally at all times
Payment
Payment will normally be equivalent to £200–£250 per installation day, depending on experience and project complexity.
Each installation will be agreed as a fixed project price before work begins. Materials and approved specialist-trade costs will be handled separately unless agreed otherwise.
Requirements
- At least three years of professional carpentry, joinery or fitted-interior experience preferred
- Previous media-wall installation experience required
- A portfolio showing completed media walls or similar work
- Ability to survey and estimate projects accurately
- Own professional tools
- Valid driving licence and reliable transport
- Current public liability insurance
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently
- References from previous customers or contractors
Electrical and specialist work
Electrical or gas-related work must only be completed by appropriately qualified tradespeople. Please state whether you hold any relevant qualifications or regularly work with qualified electricians, plasterers or decorators.
All additional trades must be approved by LuxeSpace UK before being used on a project.
Brand and customer standards
You will represent LuxeSpace UK when working with customers introduced by us. Customer information and project details must remain confidential.
Completed installations may be photographed or filmed for the LuxeSpace UK website, portfolio and social-media channels, including Instagram, with the customer’s permission.
