Grahams the Family Dairy are seeking to recruit a Production Supervisor to join their team at Nairn. Assisting the Production Management team you will ensure the smooth running of the production lines. As a Production Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing production processes, managing teams, and ensuring quality and efficiency in manufacturing operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports and assists the Shift Manager in the smooth running of the production area
- Ensures all procedures are carried out in accordance with the Company Quality System
- Ensure that tanks are filled with product as per the production plan to make sure that fillers can run at optimum efficiency.
- Ensures product quality meets, or exceeds, specification
- Ensures the production of products run efficiently and that staff are always supervised
- Manages staff breaks and covers for operators as appropriate.
- Sharing technical knowledge with team members to improve their capabilities. Mentoring, coaching & developing team members in company behaviours.
- Utilises all available opportunities, enabling others to improve the way we do things
- Working closely with the Technical department
- Ensure good manufacturing practices are adopted at all times
- Ensure staff adhere to company hygiene / quality standards at all times
- To maintain effective communication channels with all members of the team.
- Takes responsibility for the shift when the Shift Manager is not in the production area.
- Adheres to all Company Health and Safety procedures and HR Policies and Procedures.
The ideal candidate will have previous dairy industry experience although not essential and a good general level of education. They will possess proven people management experience and the ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong creative problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and a high level of computer literacy are essential to successfully perform in the role.
Pay: £15.14 per hour
