Job Summary
The role of our Junior Pizza Chef is to support the Pizza chefs and Kitchen teams to create delicious pizzas, ensuring the highest quality standards are met, producing a quality product from kitchen to table. You will learn to be able to work at speed whilst maintaining Alley Cats standards and following specs, consistently.
As a junior pizza chef, you will also be required to follow our H&S compliance standards. This includes completing daily opening/closing checks, staying up to date with all e-learning tasks and completing and adhoc tasks set by your line Managers.
You will play a vital role in the kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional dining experiences are created through your food.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare pizza dough and toppings according to established recipes.
- Learn to acquire knowledge and speed of service skills to start to perform at a Pizza Chef level
- Monitor and adjust oven temperatures to ensure pizzas are cooked to perfection.
- Garnish and present pizzas as per company specifications.
- Ability to consistently meet product and quality expectations will help our Junior Pizza Chefs to progress into the Pizza Chef role
- Maintain overall service standards to meet wider company expectations will ensure preparation for development and growth in this position
- Work with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Collaborate with the Pizza Chefs, Sous Chefs and Head Chef to put your ideas forward to develop new pizza recipes and menu items.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, following all sanitation guidelines.
- Ensure stock is rotated correctly and food is stored correctly to minimise food wastage.
- To adhere to all daily/weekly cleaning schedules, HACCP and COSHH policies
- To attend staff briefings to ensure 100% focus on product & service quality.
- To be responsive to all training provided and to attend all relevant training sessions.
- To attend all staff training
- To attend department meetings and briefings as and when required
Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour
