Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Sous Chef to join our kitchen team! In this role, you will assist our Head Chef Vicky in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional food quality, and maintaining a lively, efficient, and safe kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in managing daily food production, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
- Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and prep team members, fostering teamwork and maintaining high morale
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring consistency, safety, and adherence to recipes and portion controls
- Assist in training new team members on food safety protocols, kitchen procedures, and culinary techniques
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout the kitchen environment
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth serving operations and timely delivery of orders
- Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal offerings to enhance guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience in a busy restaurant or hospitality kitchen setting
- Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Good kitchen experience with a focus on food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with team members and front-of-house staff.
- Prior restaurant experience with knowledge of serving procedures preferred
