We currently have an opportunity for a Temporary Part-Time Infection Prevention & Control (IPAC) Lead. Reporting to the Director of Care, The IPAC Lead is responsible for the Infection Prevention and Control Program at The Grove Long Term Care Home.
This includes but is not limited to the following:
- Working with the interdisciplinary team to implement the IPAC Program
- Managing and overseeing the IPAC Program
- Managing and overseeing IPAC Education
- Auditing of IPAC practices, actioning areas of non-compliance
- Conducting regular surveillance and reviewing daily/monthly results
- Providing outbreak management
- Lead of the IPAC team, holding quarterly meetings
- Maintaining the Hand Hygiene Program
Qualifications:
- Registered Nursing or Registered Practical Nursing Diploma
- Current membership and in good standing with the CNO
- IPAC Professional Development Course Certification
- Certification with the Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience required, preferably in Long-Term Care
- Experience in IPAC Practices
- Working knowledge of Point Click Care and Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Fixing Long-Term Care Homes Act
- Ability to work under pressure and on concurrent projects; sound organizational and multitasking skills to prioritize tasks and manage workload
Salary range: $35.56 – $40.21/ hr.
