About the role
IIMS is seeking a remote freelance desktop publisher to help produce a comprehensive set of education modules written by experts in marine surveying, as part of our Professional Qualification program.
All modules (approximately 30 in total) are being reviewed and updated by authors. This work will include amending existing documents, or creating new versions within a template created by our in-house graphic designer.
Modules are for study worldwide and contain technical illustrations, diagrams and photographs, mathematical and scientific calculations, and written chapters. They are approximately 100-150 pages in length each. Three versions of each module, each with subtle design differences, may be necessary for use on our different platforms.
The relaunch of the programme is planned for January 2027, with all module amendments completed and ready to publish by the end of December.
