Bright Start Sports Lead Coach

Bright Start Sports is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and confident Lead Coach to join our growing team and lead our multi-sports classes in Cheltenham.
This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to use their coaching or teaching experience to inspire children at the beginning of their Sports journey.
Our specially designed multi-sports classes give young children aged 2–6 years the opportunity to experience a wide range of sports in a structured, educational setting, whilst most importantly, having fun!
Each week, children will experience a new and exciting sport, developing their confidence, coordination and fundamental movement skills along the way. Our sports rotation includes:
Tennis Football Athletics Netball Hockey Cricket Basketball Rugby Dodgeball
The Role
As a Lead Coach, you will be responsible for confidently and competently delivering high-quality, engaging sessions to groups of up to 14 children, with parents/guardians present.
All sessions are fully planned in detail, so you will have clear guidance and resources to follow. You will work alongside an Assistant Coach, with full training and support provided before taking the lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver fun, engaging and high-quality multi-sports sessions for children aged 2–6.
- Confidently lead groups of up to 14 children with their parents/guardians present.
- Follow detailed session plans while adapting activities appropriately for the children in your groups.
- Create a positive, encouraging and inclusive environment where every child feels successful.
- Help children develop their physical skills, confidence and enjoyment of sport.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and guardians.
- Work effectively with your Assistant Coach.
- Maintain a professional, reliable and enthusiastic approach.
- Ensure sessions are delivered safely and in line with safeguarding procedures.
- Attend sessions consistently and be punctual and well prepared.

- Reliable and committed to attending their term time classes every week.
- Organised and able to follow detailed lesson plans.
- Resourceful and able to adapt activities to suit specific groups.
- A confident communicator who enjoys working with both children and parents.
- Experienced in sports coaching, teaching or working with young children.

- Trainee teachers
- Qualified teachers

Hours
We are currently looking for a Lead Coach to work Saturday mornings at Balcarras School in Cheltenham and possibly Friday mornings also in Charlton Kings , Cheltenham.
There will also be occasional additional weekend hours available through our children's parties and holiday sessions.

Pay: £20.00-£25.00 per hour
