This position is for applicants aged 18 and over only, due to job requirements including Age Restricted Sales. This is a seasonal vacancy at an independently run shop on a Holiday Park on the outskirts of Newquay. Immediate start with in-house training provided. Upon successful completion of training in store, the Assistant Manager Wage will increase.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including inventory management, sales and customer service.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Handle customer queries, inquiries and requests with professionalism and in a timely manner.
- Implement sales strategies and promotional activities to increase store revenue.
- Maintain organisational standards, including cleanliness, safety procedures, and administrative tasks such as reporting sales figures and staff schedules.
- Support the management in achieving business objectives through effective team management and leadership.
Requirements
- Own transport necessary due to shift patterns
- Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles within a retail environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrable organisational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and administrative tasks.
- Experience in sales management, stock control, and visual merchandising techniques.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Previous experience in supervising staff, managing schedules, and overseeing daily operations.
- Proficiency in organisational software or point-of-sale systems is preferred.
