Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable, motivated, and hardworking Weekend Housekeeper to join our team on an 8-hour weekend contract.
The ideal candidate will have previous hotel housekeeping experience and take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. You will be responsible for cleaning guest rooms and public areas, preparing rooms for guests, and ensuring all housekeeping duties are completed to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and service guest rooms and public areas to a high standard.
Make beds, change linen, and replace towels.
Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and sanitise guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas.
Replenish toiletries, tea, coffee, milk, towels, and other guest amenities.
Empty kettles, replace cups, and ensure guest supplies are fully stocked.
Empty bins and remove rubbish from guest rooms and public areas.
Transport dirty linen to the linen room and follow laundry procedures.
Change shower curtains when required.
Report maintenance issues and health and safety hazards promptly.
Carry out minor maintenance tasks where appropriate, such as unclogging sinks.
Follow COSHH regulations and all hotel health and safety procedures.
Keep housekeeping stock levels maintained and inform management when supplies need replenishing.
Ensure cleaning equipment and trolleys are clean, organised, and fully stocked.
Process lost property in accordance with hotel procedures.
Never allow unauthorised access to guest rooms.
Complete all daily housekeeping duties before the end of each shift.
Essential Requirements
Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred.
Excellent attention to detail.
Reliable, trustworthy, and professional.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Flexible and available to work weekends.
Knowledge of COSHH and health and safety procedures.
A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
