Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Unit Team Member to join our dynamic food unit. This role involves cooking and preparing breakfast and lunch food, food safety, serving customers, stock re-fill and service operations within a busy environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong food hygiene knowledge , and an ability to work in a fast paced environment. This position offers valuable experience in the food service industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and cooking tasks, ensuring all meals meet quality standards.
- Support catering events when required by setting up and serving.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen work areas in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Prepare ingredients and carry out food assembly to support smooth kitchen operations.
- Serve customers courteously at service points, ensuring a positive experience.
- Follow all health and safety procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of meals during busy periods.
- Assist in stock rotation, inventory checks, and proper storage of food items.
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or kitchen environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous.
- Basic cooking and meal preparation skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude towards colleagues and customers.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including early starts and weekend.
- A genuine interest in culinary arts and customer service excellence is highly valued.
Pay: £13.45 per hour
