Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Corporate Accountant/Commercial Analyst to join our team on a part-time basis. Duties
- Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with organisational policies.
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
- Utilise various accounting software including Xero other relevant platforms to maintain financial records.
- Support financial management activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to aid strategic planning.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring all deadlines are met efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business growth initiatives.
- Analyse revenue, costs, margins, and profitability across IT service contracts.
- Identify loss-making services, contracts, and operational inefficiencies.
- Build and maintain financial models to support pricing, forecasting, and decision-making.
- Provide clear, data-driven insight into where the business makes — and loses — money
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements related to financial reporting.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes through optimisation initiatives.
- Actively challenge supplier costs, third-party contracts, and internal spend.
- Review IT service delivery costs including networks, connectivity, licensing, support, and data centres.
- Support renegotiation of supplier agreements, including telecoms, HSCN, hardware, and software vendors.
- Establish cost controls, governance, and commercial discipline.
- Partner with leadership to define and execute a business turnaround strategy
- Identify quick wins and long-term improvements to restore profitability
- Support restructuring of services, pricing models, and delivery approaches
- Track turnaround progress using clear KPIs, dashboards, and reporting
Requirements
- Proven experience in financial accounting within the IT services or data centre industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero or similar platforms is essential.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles including accounts payable, receivables, and general ledger maintenance.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex financial data and present insights clearly to stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring or training colleagues is desirable but not mandatory.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent are advantageous.

Pay: £21,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
