About City Estate Solutions
City Estate Solutions specialises in Property Management and Estate & Block Management services, offering tailored solutions to property owners and freeholders across Yorkshire and the Midlands. As part of our growth strategy, we are expanding into Manchester and the wider Northwest to source and acquire new block management opportunities.
This role sits within a structured market-mapping programme. Your field work feeds directly into our commercial pipeline, and your client-facing tasks support our existing Leeds operations.
The role
This is an entry-level, spanning field research in Manchester and occasional property support work in Leeds. You will be walking Manchester postcodes, identifying block management opportunities, representing the company in initial client interactions, and picking up varied property-related tasks across both cities. No prior property experience is required, reliability, clear communication, and the ability to work independently matter most.
What you'll be doing
Manchester — scheduled walk-route fieldwork
- Conduct structured half-day walk routes across priority Manchester postcodes (M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M14, M15, M16) on a weekly schedule.
- Identify residential blocks, new developments in progress, and properties displaying third-party management signage.
- Tag buildings of interest in real time using a mobile mapping tool — capturing a photo, location pin, and any visible agent details.
- Complete a same-day field report after each route, logging all tagged buildings with relevant observations.
Manchester — client introductions & meetings
- Attend initial in-person introductions with prospective clients on behalf of the company where required.
- Represent City Estate Solutions professionally in early-stage conversations, gathering key information and ensuring a smooth handoff to the internal team.
- Support in-person meetings as needed — this may include accompanying a director or attending independently for straightforward introductory visits.
Leeds — property support work
- Conduct property inspections on behalf of the management team, recording condition, observations, and any items requiring attention.
- Carry out accompanied or solo viewings for prospective tenants or clients.
- Handle property errands as scheduled — including accepting deliveries, collecting correspondence, and other on-site tasks.
- Leeds work is available as additional paid hours on top of your regular Manchester schedule, providing more flexibility to increase your earnings.
Reporting & pipeline support
- Cross-reference field findings with desk-based property data tools (training provided).
- Support the wider team in preparing personalised outreach correspondence for property owners and RMC directors.
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions and field observations to support follow-up.
Requirements
- Based in Manchester — you must be able to reach priority postcodes independently.
- A driver's licence is desirable. If you hold a licence but do not own a car, we will cover the cost of using a car club service for work-related travel where needed. (Car club eligibility requirements, including minimum age, will be confirmed before appointment.)
- Comfortable working outdoors and independently for extended periods.
- Presentable and confident in face-to-face situations — you may be the first point of contact a prospective client has with our company.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow a structured route and reporting protocol.
- Smartphone capable of running mapping and photo-logging tools.
- Willingness to travel to Leeds for occasional additional shifts.
What we offer
- Hourly rate of £20–£35 per hour, dependent on experience — agreed at interview.
- Travel costs covered for all scheduled fieldwork across both cities.
- Flexible scheduling: hours and routes are agreed monthly in advance — you will have a clear schedule to plan around.
- Additional earning potential through Leeds property support shifts on top of your regular Manchester hours.
- Opportunity to grow into a broader commercial or property management role as the business develops.
Who we're looking for
This role is entry level and requires anyone looking for structured part-time income with flexibility. You do not need a background in property. You do need to be punctual, observant, and comfortable representing a company professionally in person. If you can follow a structured plan, write a clear field report, and hold yourself well in front of a client, we want to hear from you.
