Job Opportunity – Workshop Assistant and PAT tester required at our head office in Brentwood
Working hours 7am - 4.30pm
Broughton Plant Hire & Sales is looking to recruit a full-time permanent person to work in our workshop to help service and maintain tool hire equipment and also carry out mobile Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) of electrical equipment and tools.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Ensure hire fleet is maintained and repaired to ensure hire equipment is fit for purpose and available for hire
- Perform PAT testing on electrical equipment in the depot.
- When require attend customer job sites to carry out PAT testing with industry standards and regulations
- Identify and document any faults or defects found during testing
- Maintain accurate records of all testing activities
- Work within the Health & Safety policy of the company to ensure safe working practises
Key job requirements
- A valid clean UK driver’s licence
- Previous experience is as a PAT tester is preferred
- CSCS card desired but not essential
- Experience in general repairs
- A can-do attitude with strong work ethic
- Hard working, punctual, flexible and self motivated.
