Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Shift Runner and Barista to join our vibrant team. Responsibilities
- Lead the team during your shift, coordinating tasks to ensure efficient service and a positive atmosphere
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items with precision and care
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols and cleanliness standards throughout the shift
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide outstanding service to foster loyalty
- Oversee daily opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, inventory checks, and restocking supplies
- Support food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when needed
- Manage time effectively to ensure all customer orders are fulfilled promptly while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Barista or in food service, with a strong understanding of beverage preparation and serving techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in handling perishable items
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for cash handling and inventory management accurately
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods
- Strong communication skills to engage with customers and team members effectively
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred but not required
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
