The multi award-winning International Bomber Command Centre is looking for exceptional and enthusiastic people to join its growing hospitality and catering operation. The Centre plays hosts to a wide range of events, functions and runs the successful Hub Café for visitors.
The IBCC are looking for a dedicated and energetic Events and Catering Assistants to join their catering team. The Events and Catering Assistants report directly to the Catering Manager and are an integral part of this small but vitally important team. The IBCC has a busy café operation and a full programme of events and corporate hospitality, ranging from finger buffets to full banquet style catering. This role provides a great opportunity to develop a career in the catering industry, playing a key role in the team with full support of the management.
Key Duties:
- Setting up for events
- Serving to table
- Serving behind the bar, restocking when necessary
- Serving in the Hub Café when required
- Clearing from events including all areas used
- Supporting pot wash at key times
- Cash management using our till system
- All other duties or responsibilities required by the Catering Manager to deliver an excellent job

- Previous experience in a similar role
- Providing excellent customer service
- Be smart in appearance
- Ability to set up and clear down a range of event layouts
- Service a range of event styles and formats
- Be a positive and focussed member of the team
- Be fully flexible with shifts to match the events calendar (this includes some evenings and weekends)
- Have a strong work ethic with an eye for detail and pride in doing a job well
- Be able to think on your feet and use your own initiative
- Be confident in a front of house role, working with customers and team members
