Your next role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher committed to inclusive education. The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting learners with physical disabilities within a mainstream setting. They will also be able to demonstrate the ability to innovate and problem-solve, as well as to develop effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders (schools, parents/carers, children and young people, other professionals etc.).
Swindon is a small unitary authority that is easily accessible and is an exciting and innovative place to work. The Advisory Teacher for Physical Disabilities operates under the SEND Service within Prevention and Communities and works closely with the other SBC Advisory Teaching Services. The SBC Advisory Teaching Services are well-respected and valued with good relationships with schools and other partners. They are dedicated to empowering children and young people to achieve their full potential by improving provision, support and resources for Swindon children and young people who have physical disabilities.

You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
The ability to travel throughout the Borough will be required and access to a car/ in order to be available to support sessions and events around the town.
