We are looking for an organised, proactive and motivated individual to join our Community Diabetes Specialist Service, supporting patients across the Inner London Boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster.
As a key member of our administrative team, you will provide comprehensive, high-quality support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the service. You will assist in coordinating the team's workload, managing diaries, booking clinics, processing new referrals, maintaining waiting lists and communicating appointment information to patients and carers.
The successful candidate will be confident in working independently, using their initiative to manage day-to-day queries and prioritise tasks, including screening and responding to written and verbal correspondence. You will also contribute to the effective day-to-day running of the office, support temporary staff and provide cover for administrative colleagues during periods of annual leave or short-term sickness where possible.
This is a part-time position requiring attendance on Thursdays and Fridays only.
Provide high-quality administrative support to the Community Diabetes Specialist Service, ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the team.
Assist in coordinating team workloads, managing diaries and organising clinics across the service.
Process new referrals, maintain and update waiting lists and communicate appointment-related information clearly and sensitively to patients and carers.
Act on your own initiative to manage routine issues and effectively screen and respond to both written and verbal correspondence.
Support the induction and day-to-day supervision of temporary staff and contribute to maintaining an organised and effective office environment.
Provide administrative cover for colleagues during periods of annual leave or short-term sickness where possible.
Work collaboratively as part of a friendly and supportive Diabetes Team, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering a high-quality service centred on the needs of our patients.
Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills, knowledge and understanding of the role. Previous experience is desirable; however, full training and ongoing support will be provided.
