Matchday Chef – Southampton Football Club
Join the team at Southampton Football Club as a Matchday Chef, delivering high-quality food in a fast-paced, exciting stadium environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced chefs seeking flexible, casual work during matchdays and major events at St Mary’s Stadium. Working within a professional hospitality and catering team, you will help deliver exceptional food experiences across hospitality suites, corporate events, and stadium catering outlets.
What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a Chef, Line Chef, Chef de Partie, or Catering Chef within a fast-paced kitchen, stadium, hospitality, events, or venue environmen

Ability to work efficiently under pressure during high-volume matchday and event service

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

A proactive team player with a positive and professional attitude

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, matchdays, and stadium events
What You’ll Be Doing

Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to a high standard for matchday hospitality areas, corporate functions, and catering outlets

Supporting kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient service during busy matchdays and events

Assisting with food preparation, stock control, stock rotation, and kitchen organisation

Ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation across all food service areas

Contributing to an exceptional guest and matchday experience at St Mary’s Stadium
Good to Know
Pay rate: £18.90 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
Contract type: Casual / Matchday
Location: St Mary’s Stadium, Southampton
Shifts: Flexible, based on home matchdays, conferences, hospitality functions, and stadium events
