Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Worker to provide support and care to children and young people within a residential setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing environment, promoting the well-being and development of residents. Duties
- Assist children and young people with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and recreational pursuits.
- Implement and follow individualised care plans to meet each resident’s specific needs.
- Support behavioural management strategies in line with organisational policies.
- Facilitate engaging activities that promote social skills, independence, and emotional well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of residents’ progress, incidents, and daily routines.
- Drive residents to appointments, activities, or outings as required, ensuring safety at all times.
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to deliver consistent care.
- Ensure the residential environment remains safe, clean, and welcoming for all residents.
Skills
- Experience working with children or young people in a caring or educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, colleagues, and external agencies.
- Ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Competence in driving safely and confidently when transporting residents.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- Empathy, patience, and resilience are essential qualities for supporting vulnerable children and young people effectively.

Pay: £24,420.00-£34,480.05 per year
