Duties
- Perform thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components, including engines, brakes, transmissions, suspension systems, and electrical systems
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete repairs with precision
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks when handling large parts or equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Document all work performed accurately in service records and communicate findings clearly to team members or customers
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and safety procedures to maintain a high standard of quality in every job
- Support the team by maintaining a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex vehicle issues efficiently
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools in an automotive or similar technical environment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of routine repair tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Prior experience as a vehicle technician or in a related automotive role is preferred
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and explain technical information clearly
- Certification from an accredited automotive technician program is mandatory
