We are looking for friendly, hardworking, and personable Front of House Team Members to join our team at The Rising Sun Inn in Altarnun, Bodmin Moor.
We are a busy destination pub and restaurant known for our warm atmosphere, quality food, local drinks, and genuine hospitality. Whether guests are joining us for a relaxed lunch, evening meal, Sunday roast, or staying in our rooms, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming experience from the moment they walk through the door.
Previous hospitality experience is preferred, but personality, attitude, and willingness to learn are just as important. Full training can be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming and looking after guests throughout their visit
- Taking food and drink orders accurately and confidently
- Serving food, wines, cocktails, beers, and hot drinks to a high standard
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and professional front of house environment
- Supporting the team during busy services and events
- Assisting with table preparation, clearing, and resetting
- Handling payments and operating the till system
- Building good product knowledge of our menus, wines, and local suppliers
- Delivering friendly, relaxed, but professional service at all times

- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for hospitality and customer service
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
- Experience in restaurants, pubs, cafés, or bars is beneficial but not essential

Schedule: Day shifts, evenings, weekends
Pay: £11.00-£13.12 per hour
