This is an exciting role for a person who has an interest in the environment, can communicate effectively with different groups, from children to community volunteer groups, and can inspire children and adults alike to become more aware and proactive in reducing waste.
Managing the small Environmental Education Team, you will be energetic, enthusiastic, with a drive to develop and encourage the Team with ongoing and new initiatives to help achieve our goals of increasing recycling and reducing waste across Blackburn with Darwen.
There will be a variety of opportunities within the role including;
- Overseeing the delivery of a school education programme
- Working directly within diverse communities and with residents in a variety of settings (such as outside or in community venues)
- Advertising our services at different workshops and events using our display boards and presentations
- Creating connections with local partners and delivering projects on different platforms which encourage recycling and waste reduction within the borough.
