Youth Support Worker (Casual/Flexible)
Location: The Lighthouse Sports and Social Hub, Dovercourt, Essex
Pay: Starting rate £13.00 per hour (potential up to £15)

FacesUK CIC is looking for a passionate, reliable, and enthusiastic Youth Support Worker to support the young people we work with across our youth programmes and community projects.
This role is centred around building positive relationships with young people, supporting their wellbeing, encouraging personal development, and helping them access opportunities that build confidence, independence, and life skills.
Hours are flexible and will vary depending on the needs of the young people and the activities being delivered.
What you’ll be doing:
- Building trusted relationships with young people and providing positive support and encouragement
- Acting as a positive role model and helping young people develop confidence and self-esteem
- Supporting young people to participate in activities, projects, and community opportunities
- Helping young people develop social, communication, teamwork, and life skills
- Supporting youth sessions, trips, outings, and events
- Working alongside young people involved in our Sweet Shack social enterprise project
- Creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where young people feel valued and heard
- Supporting young people to overcome challenges and achieve their goals
Essential Requirements:
- Aged 18 or over
- Previous experience working with children and young people
- Ability to build positive and professional relationships with young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, approachable, and empathetic
- Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team
Desirable:
- DBS registered on the Update Service
- Experience in youth work, mentoring, education, SEND support, sports coaching, or community projects
